Privately held top level domain name company Radix reported some of its financials today.

The company grossed over $38 million in revenue in 2021, up 35% from 2020. That number is net of all discounts and rebates.

Radix’s net profit was up 60% during this period.

Most of the revenue came from standard renewals, which accounted for 72% of revenue. Standard registrations made up 15%. Premium domains generated 12.5% of revenue. (Radix reported $6 million of premium revenue last year, but that was at the registrar level. Radix gets only a portion of that revenue.)

The United States accounted for nearly half of the revenue. .Online contributed 30% of the company’s revenue, followed by .site and .store. Radix believes that .online is the top new top level domain by renewal revenue out of all of the new TLDs.
