PIR announces winners of 4th Annual .ORG Impact Awards

Food Rescue Hero is named .ORG of the year.

Public Interest Registry, the registry behind .org, today announced the winners of its annual .ORG impact awards.

A record 947 organizations and individuals from 68 countries submitted entries this year.

The big winner was Food Rescue Hero, which was named the .ORG of the year and the winner of the Hunger & Poverty category. The group helps divert food that’s headed to the landfill to worthy causes. PIR will donate $45,000 to the organization.

Other winners will each take home $10,000:

Community Building – Kageno Worldwide
Quality Education for All – Hello World
Environmental Stewardship – TIP Sessions
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion – Pro Mujer
Health and Healing – Limbitless Solutions
Rising Star – Mathias Charles Yabe, AkoFresh
