NameJet/SnapNames report November results including six figure sale
These domains were auctioned for $2,000 or more last month.
Newfold Digital’s domain aftermarkets, NameJet and SnapNames, combined to sell 106 domains for $2,000 or more last month. The domains totaled $652,000.
Putlocker.com led the list at $102,499. This was a fully expired domain that was previously registered at InternetBS and went through the deletion cycle. Why so valuable? This is the name of an online torrent site that uses an alternative extension.
I usually see a couple of domains that I wish I had noticed and bid on. Not so much this month, but here are some other sales that stand out to me:
SmartMeter.com $16,500 – Smart energy meters are a big business, but not sure if this domain is good for a business that sells them. It has other uses, though.
Octavo.com $11,100 – Nice brandable that means 1/8th and is used in the book world. This domain is registered in 59 extensions.
BodyPillows.com $8,979 – I guess this would be good for a site selling body pillows, but most people buy them from retailers they already frequent. Maybe for selling luxury options?
Inteligente.com $6,916 – It’s Spanish for intelligent.
eWarranty.com $3,719 – I know e-domains are passe, but I like this one.
SchoolHub.com $3,609 – This is a great brand for a service that caters to schools or students.
iMarkets.com $3,140 – I-domains are also losing their luster, but this is a good one (although better as a singular).
Here’s the full list of sales of $2,000 or more in November:
