ICANN has published five registry agreement assignments.

First, GoDaddy Registry has acquired .study and .courses from Open Universities Australia Pty Ltd. Each domain has about 3,000-4,000 names in the zone. The names are currently marketed for around $20-$30 per year.

GoDaddy Registry already provided the backend registry services for the domains. The domains launched with ARI Registry Services, which was acquired by Neustar Registry, which was subsequently acquired by GoDaddy.

Separately, Public Interest Registry (PIR) completed the assumption of .charity, .foundation, and .gives from Donuts. This is a deal announced in December in which Donuts agreed to transfer the domains to PIR for some sort of ongoing consideration. PIR operates .org and is naturally positioned to market these domains. Donuts currently provides the backend registry technology that powers .org.

As of today, .foundation is the most registered of the three, with over 20,000 in the zone.
