Workforce Software, LLC and Workforce.com, Inc. have settled their differences.

For decades, the workforce.com domain was used by Workforce Magazine to deliver human resources news. But in 2019, a competitor to Workforce Software, LLC bought workforce.com, rebranded as Workforce.com, and started using the domain to promote its products.

In May 2020, Workforce Software, LLC filed a UDRP against Workforce.com, trying to get the workforce.com domain name. It lost the case.

Workforce Software then filed a federal lawsuit against Workforce.com, Inc., and Workforce.com filed counterclaims.

Last week, the parties agreed (pdf) to dismiss with prejudice all claims after the parties worked out a settlement.

It’s unclear what that settlement involves, but Workforce.com, Inc. appears to still own the domain name.

Workforce Software, LLC uses the domain WorkforceSoftware.com. The company has a fairly generic name, and not owning workforce.com has always been a risk for the company.
