Lastest end user domain name sales

A shipping company, a property management software company, and a real estate business bought domain names.

Sedo dropped three weeks of domain sales lists this week after the holiday. I decided I’d start with the most recent one and then go back and pick up the others. So the list below includes sales from the past 7-10 days.

I switched from PC to Mac over the holidays. I thought the biggest struggle would be learning the keyboard shortcuts. But it turns out it’s software. For example, when creating these sales posts, I typically dump all the names in Watch My Domains Pro. I look for ownership info and then check out sites that point to non-parking servers. In the older version of the software I ran on Windows, I could double-click names to open them in a browser window. In both the Mac and latest universal editions, you can’t double-click. There’s also a different UI. So I’m getting used to those things, but it takes a bit longer to do things right now. (And don’t get me started on accounting software!)

Here’s a list of end user domain name sales that just completed at Sedo for which I could determine a buyer. You can view previous lists like this here.

PassTheHat.com $15,000 – This domain forwards to the website for Borgman Capital. I’m not sure what it will use it for, but it seems like a name for a philanthropic endeavor.

Mnmlst.com $8,000 – This is apparently short for “minimalist”. The site, which is owned by Ponder Foods, sells minimally processed foods including soups, salad dressings, condiments and other pantry staples. It appears the site is still being developed as it doesn’t list the ingredients for each item, but those products are available on one of its other sites.

Sureways.com $5,900 – Sureways Shipping Solutions in India bought this domain name.

BB24.com $5,000 – BB24 is a software suite for property managers.

WAVF.com €3,000 – WAVF is a global trading company.

Termin.at €2,990 – This domain forwards to Termine.de, which offers online calendars.

SurveyWorld .net €2,500 – This is an interesting use. This domain used to be used for an online survey company. Now it forwards to a page on GeldGenius .nl which says bad things about the previous site.

Arazo.com €2,250 – Arazo Real Estate sells real estate in Cyprus.

Mesoestetic.lt €2,000 – This domain forwards to the matching .com. Mesoestetic sells cosmetics.

XeOne.com $2,000 – I’m not sure who bought this domain, but the buyer put up a coming soon page.
