I’m looking forward to these sessions at NamesCon
Here’s what I’m marking on my calendar for NamesCon next month.
This year’s NamesCon conference will be hot — literally and figuratively.
The event will be in Austin from August 31 – September 3. And while the weather will be hot, organizers have also put together a hot lineup that was revealed this week. I’m looking forward to a handful of sessions;
August 31
Real Deals, Real Numbers – I’m moderating this session in which Mark Levine and Logan Flatt will provide actual details of their domain sales so far this year. Has the market dipped in recent months? What’s strong and what’s not? We’ve done something similar on the podcast and at the last NamesCon, and it’s a can’t-miss session.
How to Build a Domain Portfolio – This should be a great session from Deepak Daftari. Don’t know Deepak? Get to know him.
gTLDs: When Lightning Strikes – I’m curious who will be on this panel. With the right mix it could be great, as they’ll talk about how to identify TLDs that are becoming more popular.
September 1
This day is dominated by NFT sessions and the auction, so there’s not much on my radar. But the Expert Roundtables might be worth attending.
September 2
Telling the True Story of the Domain Name Industry – Domainers get a bad rap. How can we change that?
September 3
Saturday is fun day with sausage and beer at Banger’s. I recommend starting the day there and then heading to one of the lakes or Barton Springs to cool off. Be sure to pack your swimsuit!
