Ballet has acquired ballet.com for seven figures.

A cryptocurrency company has paid more than $1 million for ballet.com.

Ballet, a maker of a cryptocurrency wallet, uses the domain name balletcrypto.com. It now forwards ballet.com to its existing website.

Domain Name Wire has confirmed the transaction with the buyer’s broker, Puneet Agarwal. Agarwal couldn’t disclose the actual price but said it was greater than $1 million.

Agarwal had trouble tracking down the domain owner, who had registered the domain since 1995, and getting his attention. He eventually sent someone to meet the owner in person, which got the deal done.

Jamie Zoch spotted the transfer a couple of days ago.  James Iles notes that many crypto wallet solutions have acquired one word domains, including swan.com, exodus.com, and tent.com.
